U.S. Secretary of Transportation Ray LaHood announced Tuesday a ban on texting for drivers of commercial vehicles. If you are caught behind the wheel of a commercial vehicle sending out a text message you could be fined. The new rules are effective immediately and apply to drivers while operating commercial vehicles, such as large trucks and buses, according to a statement from the U.S. Department of Transportation. Anyone caught could be have fines imposed of civil and criminal penalties of up to $2,740. Remember drive safe & legal!
